One Thimble No.19 Pinky Promise Purse

Hey all! Some of you may have noticed I'm a little MIA on my blog, yes, it's true, I have a dream job that takes up some of my sewing and blogging time. I'll let you in on the dream job at another time, for now let's just celcbrate Playtime and the 19th issue of One Thimble (affiliate link)!

This time I've sewn up one project, the Pinky Promise Purse. The original intent was to sew it up for me, but since JubeJube loved it so much I just couldn't say no to her. She loved the size of it and how easy it was to open and close with the magnetic snap.

I changed the length of the strap and removed the swivel hooks for the simple reason that I didn't have enough time to order and receive them on time for sewing up this project and I didn't find any the recommended 1/2" size at my local store.

The layout of the tutorial for this pattern is layout a little different than what I'm used to seeing. The written text is all on the top half of the page and the photographs of the steps is on the bottom half. This makes it a little harder to follow since I'm not used to it, but it doesn't take away from the tutorial. The photos are clear and it is well written. The pattern pieces all fit well together, and printing and assembling the pattern pieces went well.

The fabric is Bird Watcher found at Club Tissus. I instantly knew I needed this fabric for the Pinky Promise Purse. The fabric is so vibrant and colorful!

Now off to make another for Amelia... and since I really do love the size for myself, I might just have to make another for me too!

Here's a sneak peek of what's inside One Thimble No.19, and don't forget to pick up your copy today!

Take a look at the other stops on the tour, so much more to look at a things to make for the kiddos!
