Étage Dress and Tunic by Sew Straight Patterns

The second pattern by Sew Straight Patterns is now available! The Étage Dress and Tunic is one of those designs that needs a second a third look, it is just that stunning! It certainly was a labor of love for designer Terri Olson who would not stop until each layer was at the perfect angle and the perfect length. Take a look at JubeJube in her new top made from this pattern.

This pattern was designed for knit fabrics and has a short sleeve, half sleeve and sleeveless option. I used the half sleeve so JubeJube can wear it all through the cold season layered with a cardy. I also thought the tunic length woud get more use than the dress, fall and winter are no fun for dresses. The bodice is fully lined. Each layer has it own special angle and you can get some really cool effects when using contrasting fabrics.

I am going to put it out there, this pattern is not something you whip up while you have a couple of preschoolers running around 30 minutes before an outing. It will take some amount of concentration to make sure all the pieces go in the right way or you might end up with all the layers going in the same direction...don't ask why I know that...Let's just say I do make mistakes too, ha!

Want more inspiration for this pattern, visit Terri at her blog or pick up the pattern in her Etsy shop today!

Until next time, xx.
