Felicity by Peek-a-Boo Patterns

Looking for that fun summer dress...here it is! Amy of Peek-a-Boo Patterns has designed Felicity (affiliate link) a sweet dress with full back or halter top option.

Had issues taking photos of Miss Amelia seeing that she was quite upset the the dress wasn't hers. I thought she'd get over it with the promise of a treat, but not at all!

So we have some pouting and sulking because she LOVES this dress!

As usual with Peek-a-Boo patterns you get a huge size range (3 months to 12 years) nested pattern pieces for easy size blending, 1/2" seam allowance and all charts are in metric and imperial measurements.

Some of the design options include:

  • Full back or halter back (with shirring).
  • Knee length or maxi.
  • Button placket all the way down the front or just at front bodice.

I think the only way I can end this sulking is making her a dress of her own, which is a great idea since it is such a fun sew!

Until next time, xx.

Mae by Jilly Atlanta

Most of you have probably seen the new Mae Dress pattern by Jilly Atlanta, right? When Jill asked me if I wanted to help test how could I saw no...and this without even seeing the dress. Once you've sewn with a Jilly Atlanta pattern, you know you can't go wrong with her classic style and beautiful but simple details.

This is such a sweet dress. Love the unique shape of the bodice which can be trimmed out with piping or lace or left as is like I've done.

The spaghetti straps join together at the back and are tied in a loop that is sewn into the back bodice.

The pattern is available from sizes 3-6 months to 10 years...and if you join the JillyAtlanta pattern group, you'll also find the Mae Daiper cover pattern for free in the smaller sizes. Size charts and fabric requirements are shown in imperial and metric. You'll also find a uselful list of notions, fun sewing tips. You'll also see step-by-step photos in the tutorial.

Just in case you missed it, here are other posts featuring Jilly Atlanta patterns:

Until next time, xx
