Ready to go!
I've made my fabric selection, and since Spring has finally arrived in my neck of the woods I was thinking spring time in Paris and found these fabrics.

I've decided to go with the little bistro setting fabric as my main fabric and the red as an accent for the ruffles. The last fabric looks like postcards and since it has a framed out image I decided that I could use this fabric for the back pockets.

I also decided on a few embelishments, off-white piping to match my fabric and few decorative buttons.

I used my serger to finish off my raw edges so the fabric wouldn't fray in the wash. You can also use a zigzag stitch on your regular machine to finish off your edges. I wash and dried the fabrics the same way I would for the finished grament so my romper wouldn't shrink after putting all that work into it.

While my fabrics are in the wash I took Amelia's measurements. I found this cute chart (and FREE) over at the Oliver + S Patterns and Blog (you can print your own too)

My pattern is all ready to go, all printed and I traced the pieces I need on paper or a non-fusible interfacing.

Don't forget to come back tomorrow, we'll be cutting out our fabrics! If you have questions or concerns please feel free to post them here as a comment or you can message me at sproutingjubejube (at) hotmail (dot) com. I'll be more than happy to help you anyway I can!

Until next time, xx.
